Caravan holidays in Padstow

Padstow

Padstow in Cornwall has to be one of the most captivating holiday destinations, and it's not hard to see why people don't want to leave.

Why Book a Holiday Park In Padstow?

The beauty of booking a holiday to Padstow is that it's a fantastic all-year-round place to visit. So, while it's great to go during the sunny summer months when it's bursting with people and life, it is also a fabulous destination out of season with its warm winters and welcoming ambience that doesn't shut down when the season ends.

Visiting Padstow out of season also offers a chilled vibe, with quiet, secluded beaches and coves just waiting to be discovered and some incredible eateries dedicated to showcasing the area's outstanding cuisine. But no matter when you visit Padstow, you're guaranteed an unforgettable holiday.

You needn't worry about finding suitable accommodation in Padstow. A caravan holiday is the perfect choice for visitors looking for a flexible, value-for-money break in a stunning location close to various attractions and activities.

Try Harlyn Sands, which has a pub/clubhouse, an indoor pool, a shop, a restaurant, amusements, a launderette, takeaway and a kids' club; Seven Bays Park, which has a pub/clubhouse, a shop, a restaurant, a takeaway and a launderette; and Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, which has a pub/clubhouse, a shop, a restaurant, a launderette and amusements. All are situated in Padstow, with Seagull Tourist Park also close by, which has a launderette and offers a truly tranquil setting and beautiful views.

Things To Do In Padstow Cornwall

So, what is it about Padstow that is so special? This vibrant, working fishing port has a magical feel that draws visitors in, who love to stroll around the maze of narrow streets in the town, admire the quaint cottages and indulge in people (and boat!) watching in the lively harbour. There is nowhere better to spend time on holiday than in the open arms of enchanting Padstow.

The area is known for its seven bays – one for each day of the week! – These stretch from Padstow to Watergate and are well worth exploring. For glorious golden sands, try Hawker's Cove, Harbour Cove and St George's Well Cove, or if you want to try your hand at some watersports, check out Daymer Bay. Children love Harlyn Bay, which has rock pools and sand dunes. It is a famous beach for windsurfers, too. To get away from it all, take a trip to Bedruthan Steps, which is dog-friendly all year round.

Padstow is a foodie's paradise, with a number of high-profile chefs, including Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth, and Nathan Outlaw, choosing to locate here. Take your pick from venues such as the famous Seafood Restaurant, Rick Stein's Café, St. Petroc's Bistro, and Stein's Fish and Chips, or alternatives such as Pucelli, Prawn on the Lawn, and the renowned Coombeshead Farm, which prides itself on creating the best locally produced cuisine. You might need to book because these places get very busy in the summer!

Family attractions worth visiting include the National Lobster Hatchery and MacDonald's Farm. The Camel Creek Family Adventure Park is also a great place to spend a memorable day. Visitors can get up close and personal with creatures such as meerkats, reptiles, and birds of prey. More than 40 rides are on offer, including a family rollercoaster and a huge water slide. Don't worry if it's raining—there's a 45,000-square-foot indoor play area for the kids to go wild and burn off some energy, and there is also an outdoor adventure playground and mini-golf area.

The Camel Trail is a great place for a dog-friendly walk or bike ride. It offers some fabulous walks and trails through this Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. Look out for wildlife along the way, and make sure to take a camera for all those wonderful views.

No matter what time of year it is, come rain or shine, Padstow is the stuff of unforgettable holiday memories.
