Things to Do During a Stay at Frog & Bucket

Hidden Valley Discovery Park is a dog-friendly attraction 5 miles from the Frog & Bucket caravan site where you can get involved in a treasure hunt, explore the play area, or try the “Forbidden Mansion” with its mazes and team treasure hunts.

Launceston is less than 3 miles away, and the town's Castle is a popular attraction in the area. It has mysterious origins; it is said to have been built by Robert the Count of Mortain sometime after 1068. The partially destroyed castle used to include an earthwork and a timber castle with a large motte.

Slightly further afield (18 miles) are the Carnglaze Caverns, a set of man-made caverns in what used to be a slate mine. There is an impressive underground lake, and events/concerts are sometimes held there.

Only 2 miles away, Trethrone Leisure Park, a family-friendly leisure park, has all the indoor and outdoor activities you could want, from bumper cars, a climbing wall, a farm area with pony rides, super slides, an arcade, and a restaurant. It’s open throughout the summer and is one of Cornwall’s top attractions.
