Frequently asked questions
We have put together a list of the questions that we get asked on a regular basis. If you are an owner who wishes to advertise on our website or a guest who wants to find out more information on how our website works you can hopefully find an answer to your question below.
If your question is not covered in the relevant section below please contact us and we will do our best to answer any queries you may have.
Visitors to the website
We do not own any of the holiday homes. All holiday homes advertised on our website are owned by other people.
If you choose to use our online booking platform then a small booking fee is added to your booking. If you arrange a booking outside of the booking platform then you will not be charged a booking fee by us.
As we do not own any holiday homes or operate any holiday parks we are unable to guarantee any aspect of a booking. When you make an enquiry or booking request it is passed directly to the holiday home owner. ukcaravans4hire.com does not take any further part in the booking process. It becomes a private matter between you and the holiday home owner. Please see our Terms & Conditions for further information. If you wish to submit a complaint about a holiday home that is advertised on this website please visit the Complaints
You may be offered the option to purchase travel insurance or accidental damage insurance with an insurance provider when you make a booking. Please read the product information and policy documents provided before purchasing insurance.
The reference to Groups generally applies to 3 or more persons of the same sex wanting to hire a single caravan. In the vast majority of cases the advertisers on ukcaravans4hire.com have to follow the holiday park rules set by Haven, Parkdean Resorts, etc. Most holiday parks in the UK do not allow single sex groups to occupy a single caravan, this is primarily to deter stag and hen parties. This rule does not prevent same sex couples from hiring a caravan. Some discretion may also be given in certain circumstances such as a Grandmother, Mother and Daughter wishing to holiday together. If you are in any doubt please contact the person advertising the caravan about your circumstances and they will be happy to give you clarification on your individual situation.
Holiday home owners
You are able to place any relevant information on to your webpage listing as long as it doesn't breach the supplier terms. You will have 24/7 access to the owner members area where you will be able to make instant updates as often as you like. We generally find the more information you place on the advert then the more enquiries and bookings it will generate.
Enquiries and booking requests are sent direct to the email address you register with us.
Your very own web page listing containing almost unlimited text, upto 20 photos, enquiry form, location map, plus optional features such as availability calendar, instant bookings, review feature & much more. Your advert will be optimised by our team so it can achieve the best placement possible in search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc).
When a visitor uses the ukcaravans4hire search feature we display all listings that match the search criteria in a particular order by default on the search results page. A visitor will first see listings registered with the commission option, then listings not registered with the commission option but using the booking platform and finally, the listing-only option. If the visitor chooses to sort the results (eg, sort by price), then this priority listing order will not be applicable. Your listing will also receive visitors directl from search engines, or from people simply browsing the website, therefore we're confident it will always generate enquiries/bookings for you wherever it appears in the ukcaravans4hire search results.
Please feel free to update as often as possible. Either use the owner members area or email us the necessary updates and we will perform them for you.
