Take it easy with a relaxing trip to the jewel in the crown of Devon, Paignton. A caravan holiday to Paignton promises to deliver the ultimate chilled-out seaside break, which will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Why Book A Caravan Holiday In Paignton

If you’re on a romantic couple’s holiday, then you can look forward to intimate strolls around the charming town of Paignton and its delightful harbour, with maybe dinner at one of any number of gorgeous eateries at the same time, picnics for two on the glorious golden sands at beaches such as Paignton, Brixham and Broadsands, or exhilarating walks and hikes along the nearby South West Coastal Path.

You might be on a caravan holiday that reunites old friends and loved ones, so you’re looking for group activities everyone can enjoy. Why not try surfing, swimming, dinghy sailing or jet skiing? Or, for something a little more sedate, try paddle boarding, fishing, sailing or golf. Splashdown Quaywest Paignton is the UK’s largest outdoor waterpark and offers visitors the opportunity to go to all kinds of watersports. It is popular with both groups and families.

Places To Visit During Paignton Caravan Holidays

Towns and villages in the region worth paying a visit to include Babbacombe, Torquay, Totnes and Brixham, which offer different attractions and activities, but all are equally charming.

No caravan holiday to Paignton wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the zoo, where visitors to the fascinating Paignton Zoo can see more than 2,000 animals and wander around 80 acres of stunning grounds. It isn’t hard to see why it is one of South Devon’s most popular tourist attractions. While you are here, you can take a trip to Lemur Wood, Baboon Rock and Crocodile Swamp, as well as check out the Tropical Trails, Gibbon Island and Monkey Heights. There are indoor and outdoor adventure play areas for the children, and with cafes and restaurants all around, you can stop off for an ice cream, a refreshing drink or a bite to eat anytime. The zoo is also part of the Wild Planet Trust, a conservation charity that actively works to stop species decline. You can learn more about the vital work being undertaken by the charity while you’re at the zoo.

If you want to get out and about in the glorious Devon fresh air, then make sure you lace up your hiking boots and head to the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, which is made up of more than 1,700 acres of some of the most beautiful natural spaces you will find anywhere. Dog-friendly, the area includes over 40 miles of captivating footpaths and bridleways and takes in some beautiful meadows, woodlands, cliffs and coastline, so don’t forget your camera!

Within this area, you will find Occombe Farm, where you can meet and greet some cute farmyard animals, get active in the indoor and outdoor play areas and take home some delicious local produce from the farm deli and shop.

Cockington Country Park is located within the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust and is another attraction for keen ramblers with 450 acres of spectacular countryside to discover, complete with woodlands, forests, fields, ornamental lakes, a picture-postcard village, an imposing country house with craft centre and studios and an eleventh-century church. Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of Cockington, and you’re sure to take home with you some unforgettable memories.

Visitors young and old, and furry ones too, will fall in love with the enduring charm of the town of Paignton with its classic British seaside appeal and in fact, the only problem with a caravan holiday to Paignton is, you won’t want to go home!
