We love a bank holiday in the UK, and what’s not to love about an extra day off at the weekend? It gives us the opportunity to get away for a long weekend and enjoy some proper downtime, to really wind down and relax in a way you just can’t when it’s a normal two-day weekend.
A weekend away usually means a mad dash to get to your destination, and almost as soon as you’ve arrived, you’re already thinking about having to pack up and leave. Well, not when there’s a bank holiday on the horizon!
We have eight bank holidays to look forward to in 2025, and with some great deals to be had, now is the time to think about planning a bank holiday getaway. And if you live north of the border or in Northern Ireland, you’ve got even more days off to look forward to; nine in Scotland and 10 in Northern Ireland, to be exact!
