    First of all, we need to sort out somewhere to stay before finding activities in Withernsea. No need to worry, though, as there are so many delightful places to stay in and around Withernsea, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

    Booking a caravan break to Withernsea is an excellent idea. There are lots of great parks and sites to choose from, including all-singing and all-dancing options with plenty of entertainment and facilities, as well as more tranquil locations where the beautiful surroundings speak for themselves.

    Withernsea Sands Holiday Park

    Withernsea Sands Holiday Park is close to the town and offers a fantastic selection of amenities including a pub/club, indoor pool, crazy golf, restaurant, amusements, launderette, grocery shop and a kids’ club.

    Sand Le Mere Holiday Village

    Facilities at Sand Le Mere Holiday Village near Withernsea include a fishing lake. Ducks swimming in calm waters. The sky is bright blue and the trees have no leaves.

    Also close to town and with a good range of on-site facilities is Sand Le Mere Holiday Village which has a pub/club, amusements, indoor pool, fishing, a take away, a grocery shop, a restaurant and a kids’ club.

    Patrington Haven Leisure Park

    For something a little more sedate, try Patrington Haven Leisure Park, which enjoys a tranquil setting in a beautiful location. It has an adventure playground and fishing available on-site.

    Where to go in Withernsea…

    As well as all the delights you’d expect from any seaside town, including amusement arcades and a good selection of shops and eateries, Withernsea has plenty of history to interest its visitors.

    Withernsea Lighthouse Museum

    Climb the 144 steps to the top of Withernsea Lighthouse Museum, and not only will you be rewarded with some breathtaking views of the coast and the countryside at the top, you’ll also be able to find out more about the lighthouse’s fascinating background, view exhibits from RNLI HM Coastguards and learn about the town’s local history.

    Valley Gardens & Withernsea Promenade

    Chill out awhile by stopping off at Valley Gardens and Withernsea Promenadewhere you can watch life go by while soaking up the atmosphere of this captivating town. Take a stroll or go for a cycle around the gardens and along the promenade. Events and activities are held throughout the year, with the Pirate Festival undoubtedly one of the most popular events here.

    The Deep

    If you’re looking for a day out to keep the whole family entertained, then a short drive away is The Deep in Hull. This award-winning aquarium and conservation charity strives to educate people about the ocean and our impact upon it while also fascinating visitors, young and old, with all kinds of sea creatures, from sharks and stingrays to rare green sawfish, tropical reef fish, sea turtles, and even penguins.

    Nunny’s Farm

    For creatures you find above ground, jump in the car and head to Nunny’s Farm, a community petting farm in Grimsby where you can get up close and personal with 13 different kinds of animals, including donkeys, ponies, alpacas, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. With the opportunity to feed the animals and join in animal walks, this is the perfect day out for any keen young farmers. There are designated picnic areas and a café and gift shop.
