    Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market

    One of the highlights of the Christmas market calendar in Devon is Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market (November – 15 December 15).

    Cathedral Green is at the heart of the market & visitors are invited to wander the winding lanes around the cathedral, which will be dotted with traditional chalets selling crafts and gifts and seasonal food and drink from West Country producers and traders from around the world.

    The sight of illuminated Exeter Cathedral provides a dramatic backdrop to the festive atmosphere of the market, and singing from the cathedral choir offers the finishing touch to the festivities.

    Totnes Late-Night Shopping & Christmas Markets

    Totnes prides itself on doing Christmas in style, with Totnes late-night shopping & Christmas markets being held every Tuesday in December.

    More than 70 artisan stalls will be in situ, with an indoor covered market in the Civic Hall.

    Street food will be available from two dedicated food courts:

    • One in the Civic Hall car park
    • Another is in The Mansion on Fore Street.

    There will be free live music and entertainment, and on December 17, a spectacular Christmas lantern parade will take place throughout the streets of Totnes.

    Totnes Elizabethan Museum will offer family-friendly activities, and local choirs will perform outside St Mary’s Church, helping to create a really festive atmosphere.

    Plymouth Christmas Market

    Plymouth is a big city, so it knows it needs to go large for Christmas! And its festive offerings for 2024 won’t disappoint.

    Plymouth Christmas Market (November 28 – December 15) has more than 50 Christmas cabins selling a fantastic selection of unique gifts from bespoke jewellery to handmade Christmas decorations and just about everything in between – there are even festive gifts for the beloved family pet…

    Other Christmas Events in Plymouth

    Live entertainment from local choirs, steel bands, jazz artists, and folk bands will be provided.

    Seasonal food and drink, including mulled wine and local, national, and international street food, will also be available.

    Other Christmas events in and around Plymouth include the Christmas market in The Aquarium, the Plymouth Christmas Show, and the Festive Good Food and Craft Market.

    North Devon Christmas Market

    The bustling town of Braunton is the venue for the North Devon Christmas Market (December 2nd at 2 pm– 8 pm).

    Being billed as the biggest one-day event of its kind in the area, the market on Caen Street in the town promises more than 120 stalls offering one-off gifts such as jewelry, clothing, decorations, and ornaments, as well as street food from around the world.

    For the kids, there are inflatable rides and live entertainment from local choirs, dance groups, and acoustic singers.
