    You can’t talk about Prestatyn without talking about its beaches, and if you’re a beach lover, then you’ve definitely come to the right place. Prestatyn offers its visitors not one but three beaches stretching for four glorious miles!

    You can’t beat a bit of retail therapy, and if you can’t treat yourself when you’re on holiday, when can you? As well as all the usual high street names, Prestatyn has plenty of independent shops and outlets, all in one place, such as Parc Prestatyn Shopping Park.

    A fantastic rainy-day activity in Prestatyn for the whole family is Nova Prestatyn, a vibrant entertainment complex that includes a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a three-storey adventure soft play area.

    North Wales Coast Path

    Talking of getting active, Prestatyn is the perfect base for all kinds of activities. The North Wales Coast Path can be accessed from here and offers a whole host of wonderful walks and trails, ranging from the easy to more challenging treks.

    Offa’s Dyke Path

    The world-famous Offa’s Dyke Path stretches for 177 miles and follows a route across the Prestatyn hillside and drops down into the town itself, making it the ideal starting point for all manner of walks with some breathtaking views along the way.

    Gronant Dunes

    If you want to add some nature for good measure, you can’t beat a walk around Gronant Dunes. It is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest because it is home to a number of rare plants and animals, including the natterjack toad and the sand lizard.

    Dyserth Waterfall

    A spectacle to behold is Dyserth Waterfall, which is just a short distance from Prestatyn.

    Here, after a steep climb, visitors are rewarded with some spectacular views of the 70-foot waterfall cascading down.

    Getting to the waterfall is well worth the effort; it’s also a definite photo opportunity!

    Prestatyn Roman Bathhouse

    Heading back into Prestatyn and definitely worth checking out, are the well-preserved remains of the Prestatyn Roman Bathhouse.

    The baths were discovered nearly 100 years ago and are well worth taking the time to find and explore.when in Prestatyn 

    The bathhouse remains also serve as a wonderful example of Roman engineering and design, which keen-eyed visitors will notice all around the area.

    Of course, once you’ve thoroughly checked out what Prestatyn has to offer, it’s well worth venturing over to neighbouring Rhyl for a fun-filled day out.
