Robin Hood’s Bay is a fishing village surrounded by some of England’s most picturesque seaside towns. The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, which displays the explorer’s paintings and maps, is near the holiday park, and there is also a steam railway and an abundance of eateries to enjoy. Scarborough is a 20-minute drive away which has some of the country’s best beaches, the Cliff Tramways, Scarborough Castle and - for the daredevils - North Yorkshire Waterpark. Walkers will be thrilled to give the 21-mile Cinder Track a try, which is a hilly path in parts between Whitby and Scarborough. The off-road route takes walkers along the North Yorkshire coast.
